Dear Students, "Stone walls do not make a 'school' .The appearance and condition of its building ,its site and the atmosphere in and around it, are all very significant factors when one comes to judge all educational institutions. Although the Anglo Urdu boys' High School and junior college lacks in none of these, its outer appearance and the subsequent essentials are not the only factors emphasized here, for we know that the development of your all round personalities requires much more than even the effective and skillful teaching of the syllabi.
We are aware of our tremendous responsibility of turning you into good human beings before you leave the premises for good – good human beings who are as rare as ostriches in these times.
Good human beings who are as rare as ostriches in these times devoid of all social .national and human values.
Therefore the values such those of discipline sympathy honesty and hard work in matters of study and examinations punctuality, respecting teachers and all elders. Aberrances of the cleanliness of yours person and that of your surrounding find here equal emphasis and importance. They are all strictly observed as a matter of principle because this is only how you will learn to habitually observe them in your later life too And let me remind you that without first having learnt them no one can claim to a good human being.
You may therefore, find the teachers of this school a little too strict but take heart. Underneath this strictness, are hidden the feelings of understanding compassion and concern for your well being.
So dear students, I welcome you all to an institution which strives, through both percept and practice, to make you each a good Citizen of not only the country but also that of the world.
